Het Documentaire Paviljoen Event Spaces
Located in Amsterdam’s iconic Vondelpark, Het Documentaire Pavilion is steeped in film history. The historic building was the former site of the Filmmuseum from 1972 to 2012, and has since been home to various cultural organizations and initiatives, including pubic broadcasters AVROTROS and AT5. In the summer of 2023, IDFA moved into the unique building and realized a long-standing dream: Creating an accessible and inclusive space for documentary film and art. The new location will offer a year-round program of screenings and events for audiences, film industry professionals, and school children.
Het Paviljoen offers event spaces to rent for all types of events. When you organize an event in Het Paviljoen, you not only offer your guests a unique experience but also support documentary film!

Partner opportunities
International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) is the world’s largest documentary film festival, made possible thanks to the support of our sponsors, funds, and private donors. With this support, IDFA can maintain its position as trend-setting documentary film festival. IDFA believes in the power of partnerships to enrich the festival and is committed to creating sustainable and substantive collaborations in which partners reinforce each other.
By choosing to partner with IDFA, you commit yourself to a creative and engaged organization which draws a diverse audience. IDFA is looking for new partnerships to support our new documentary film hub in the Vondelpark. Within a partnership, IDFA offers the opportunity to screen documentary films and host in-depth conversations, drinks, and meetings in the various event spaces available. The spaces can also offer visibility for brands and companies, by means of commercials and slides shown before film screenings, and your logo included on sponsor banners on location.
Partners can also rent the event spaces on offer.
